I started at Direct Meats back in 2015 on the Butchery Apprenticeship. Since getting my qualification I have worked through numerous departments at Direct Meats such as Butchery, The order picking and processing department, Sausage Production, Goods in, Goods out, Export, Night Shift, and most recently joined the Sales team – where I also run our e-commerce store Direct Foodstore & Foodstore social media and marketing, adverts, and influencer collaborations.
I am currently working towards a qualification in Digital Marketing level 3. In my spare time you will find me with my head in a computer or on the game’s consoles!
My favourite Direct Meats product is our Cold Smoked Pork Rumps Steaks – DELICIOUS!

I first arrived at Direct Meats back in 2014 fresh out of the kitchen as a head chef. I soon adapted to the Monday – Friday lifestyle after many long years in kitchens and maybe only having the odd weekend off. It was amazing for me to see how the butcher and farmer work together in such a way I had never thought of. For me Dingley Dell pork was a game changer and I fell in love with the pork and flavour straight away which was then reflected when I would speak to chefs and customers about it. I feel one of the best parts of my job is building good working partnerships with chefs and restaurant owners. I feel I have more knowledge to offer chefs and, I have more direction in my own life and hope to be a part of Direct Meats in the future to come.
In my spare time I have a food blog on Instagram @daddoesfood1 and often cook and showcase our amazing products here at Direct Meats. My favourite cut of meat is Jacobs ladder (Beef short rib) I will often cook this for 18 hours until it melts in your mouth, this cut is full of flavour and just delicious.

I began my journey with Direct Meats back in 2016 on the night shift – working as a Customer Service advisor. From the offset I was given outstanding training and the team spirit was always high – I knew Direct Meats was the place for me.
The management team are always looking at team member’s potential and go above and beyond to train staff, giving them the tools to excel and further their careers within Direct Meats. This became very real to me when in 2018 I was recognised and given the opportunity to earn myself a Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management, and then in 2019 I underwent intense training: managing staff training, programmes, and career development. Direct Meats provided me with the training necessary to achieve my ambition of wanting to help others which led to my promotion to Head of Resource and training.
I still thrive on helping others progress through Direct Meats. I love being part of such a great team and look forward to what the future holds.

Hi, my name is Gina and I am the export coordinator here at Direct Meats. I also look after our wholesale accounts and I assist in the operations department.
I joined the team back in 2007, fresh out of university and recently moved to the UK.
I first started in the factory as a general assistant, that is where I have gained most knowledge about our products and how we do things and then I have gradually progressed through different roles.
Throughout my journey at Direct Meats, I have been supported and encouraged every step of the way.
What I love about my job is that I am constantly learning new things and I get to work with people from all around the world. I must admit, it is challenging at times and it requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of export regulations, documentation and keeping constant communication with custom brokers, truckers, terminals and customers to ensure the shipments arrive safely. But at the end of the process, there is a huge feeling of pride knowing that our branded products are used by high end restaurants and retailers worldwide.
I remind myself daily that “When you do your best, you become better at what you do”.
